She met Harlem Globetrotter Chris “Handles” Franklin at his Harrisburg basketball camp when she was eleven or twelve. Years later he invited her to a Globetrotters tryout in Philadelphia.
She joined the team in late 2015 — the thirteenth woman in the organisation's history to do so, and took the name Ace.
Before that came the college game: two years at Savannah State, where she earned All-Independent honours in both seasons, then two years at Point Loma Nazarene.
